Coaches will meet athletes at our team hotel lobby on Thursday, February 17th, at 9 pm to give them a pool pass and talk about tournament rules (if you have mentioned you are flying in later than this or Friday morning you are excused from this meeting, all information will be explained via email or text).
***Parents - there will be a Gate Fee that is CASH ONLY ENTRY . The cost will be $25 for a 3-day pass, $20 for a 2-day pass, $10 for a 1-day pass.***
Tournament Rules
**Current FINA rules will be used during the tournament with the exception of...
No reset to 20 seconds for corner throw or offensive rebound
No live substitutions on the side of the field
Additional tournament rules:
In the case of an athlete receiving a red card, the athlete is suspended from the next match in this age division (the athlete will not be able to play any other age divisions until this suspension is served in the division in which it was presented).
In the case of a coach receiving a red card, the coach is suspended from the next match (if the coach is coaching more than one age group, they are suspended from all other divisions until the suspension is served in the division where the red card was presented).
If the team is not ready to start the game within ten minutes of the scheduled time, the team will forfeit the game with a score of 5-0. Teams that forfeit the games cannot advance to a championship round.
In case of an athlete or coach receiving a second red card, the athlete or coach will be suspended for the rest of the competition.
The teams should supply their own warm up balls and game caps.
The warm up space is very limited. Teams have to be organized and share space with other teams.
First team listed on the schedule is playing in white caps.
Each game will consist of (4) 6 minute periods.
There will be one (1) one minute time-out per team per game. No additional time-outs in overtime.
In the case of a tie score at the end of regulation, teams will play over-time until first goal is scored (Golden Goal).
